Deskilling

Yes, they are correct in terms of things are getting easier and those of us with the knowledge of how to do the things like bang out a dent or take an entire component apart and fix it aren’t needed anymore but that doesn’t necessarily support this argument that is being made. Generation Gap
DOES exist. At least from a technology standpoint. A lot of older people still have plenty of trouble just figuring out how to work a cell phone let alone a computer or video game system. Yes “secret societies” do exist but almost all of them are either non-existent or close to extinction.
